The LAPLACE research project comes from a collaboration between LEIBNIZ and GRAVIR laboratories both located in Grenoble in the French Alps. It is now part of the SHARP research project in GRAVIR laboratory.

These laboratories are sponsored by CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique), by UJF (Université Joseph Fourier) and by INPG (Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble) and by INRIA for GRAVIR. They are both part of the IMAG institute.

The LAPLACE Group is also part of pôle Rhône-Alpes de sciences cognitives.
